The enthusiastic government of YCP was on a painting spree since its victory in the 2019 elections, and there was a G.O. (not sure) with the Letter Number 751/CPR&RD/S/2019 dated 28th October 2019 from Sri M. Girija Shankar, I.A.S., Commissioner, PR & RD, Tadepalli, Guntur to All District Collectors, (Panchayat Wing) with an Image enclosed of the ‘colour code’ {insert G.O. images} to paint all the 'Gram Panchayat Buildings' to the enclosed Colour Code which has the exact same colours of the YCP Flag (blue, green and white).
And on around 29th of October, a video came out where a few painters were painting blue over the Indian Flag on the wall of a Grama Sachivalayam Building in Thammadapalli (near Nandyal). There was an outbreak on Social Media dissing YCP with the hashtags #YSRCPInsultsIndianFlag and #YSRCPInsultsTiranga; soon, there was a press-meet held by YCP saying they will enquire what happened and that the collector had suspended an officer for painting over the Indian Flag, and soon, the YCP followers had started to give reasons of painting by using the ‘Flag Code of India’ and that the Indian Flag should not be painted on walls.
And on 22nd November 2019, an image was posted (post) by Pawan Kalyan of a Gandhi Statue which was on a base that was coloured to the Colours of YCP Flag.
Soon, the followers of YCP had started retorting with the argument asking ‘Why Pawan Kalyan didn’t question TDP when it did similar things?’ (post)
A while later, they came up with pictures of the Base in white colour and they have started accusing both JSP and TDP of morphing the pictures and falsely accusing the innocent the govt. The followers of YCP also started circulating a video (post) with the colour of the Statue Base being white by evening.
We can see in the video that they haven’t much got a close shot on the Statue Base, they just gave a glance of the Statue Base for ~8 seconds and the rest of the video of ~79 seconds on the building which is, obviously, suspicious. Later, the party, from their official Twitter account (@YSRCParty) posted this video (post) with the text “చంద్రబాబు.. దత్తపుత్ర.. 'నీచ' రాజకీయం” saying TDP and JSP digitally coloured the original picture with YCP colours. In another tweet, they also said “The inconsistency in images and writings shows, how low @PawanKalyan and @ncbn are willing to go to conspire against the government.”.
But, later came a close and clear picture
of the Statue Base (source unknown) which clearly shows us that the colour is wet (cause we can see those slightly and relatively dark patches on the white colour)
and it also shows us that there are drops of green colour on the ground and the edge of the Statue Base which is one of YCP Flag’s colour. {picture of dark patch, green colour, YCP flag}
And to reinforce the fact that they have clearly repainted the Statue’s Base, here’s a video of the Statue’s Base with the colours of YCP’s Flag; morphing a video that is this shaky and low quality without any lapses of the morph is just requires another level of Technical Skills.
Till date, 26th November 2019, the YCP’s official handle didn’t even release an apology letter, let alone an apology letter, they didn’t even delete their tweet; their tweet where they used phrases like “’నీచ' రాజకీయం” and “willing to go low” on Pawan Kalyan and while they were doing the same thing (’నీచ' రాజకీయం) they accused Pawan Kalyan (which he —obviously—wasn’t doing) of. Irony. It is clear that they are spreading false news even after they were proved to be wrong formulating wrong opinions in people with the confidence, hope and mala-fide intentions that people are not going to fact-check it. The YCP hadn’t learned a thing even after the humiliation they faced by the National Media over re-painting the Indian Flag issue. Not deleting their video or not apologising for blaming JSP and TDP even after the exposure shows their autocratic and stubborn behaviour.
Now, where most of the people have little to no sense of checking the credibility of the source of their information, it has become very easy to spread false news, and forming opinions in people that aren’t based on facts. WhatsApp and Facebook being few of the most used Social Media and playing the key role in providing political news. It is known that there are many WhatsApp/Facebook groups of people with similar political views along with many neutral (apolitical, not a strong follower of any party) people; with this in mind, I am inferring (not confirming) that it is highly possible that the YCP and its followers are doing the same thing (spreading false news even after it is getting debunked with the confidence that people are not going to fact-check it and are formulating wrong opinions in them) in those WhatsApp/FaceBook groups where the audience is huge and are not as skeptical and fact-checking as in Twitter (my opinion). The ‘huge’ audience and their traits of not-checking-facts is worrisome, cause a lot of damage is being done to JanaSena Party. Even our beloved hacker @AskAnshul, after looking at YCP’s fake video/picture of the Statue Base being white, thought that the opposition were spreading morphed pictures and deleted his initial post of accusing the YCP govt for colouring the Statue Base.
Imagine how many common people who just know how to use WhatsApp and nothing much else that had believed this and had formulated an opinion based on this false news.
There was also a News Website (GreatAndhra) that published an article (article link) propagating what YCP has put out.
Thanks to @ChhBong, @chilll_bruh and @TylerDurden_ for the inputs and help.
P.S- I wasted around 2 hours of my time doing this. 2 Hours. I want some justification, who is going to pay for the damages that happened to JanaSena Party?
