The film was produced under the banner of Eena Film. The film is based on a true story. It released on 11 February 2013. The film was inspired from an incident in 2001, where a police officer arrested the Director and lead actor of the movie. Plot The story is about the life of a Mumbai police officer and his actions, his commitment to the job, his pursuit of the bad guys and his close relation with his brother. In the beginning, he meets Maaradha Palamalai, a girl of his community, in an accident and she turns his life upside down. He develops feelings for her, and she is unaware of his feelings. They both fall in love. The movie follows the love story of the cop and Maaradha, and how their love story is affected by the twists of fate. The story starts with Prithviraj Sukumaran as an Inspector of Police. He becomes the guardian of a street thief called Chidambaram. To catch Chidambaram, Inspector Joachim Renganathan goes to the temple of a village where Chidambaram is supposed to have a female accomplice. Inspector Renganathan finds the temple locked and nobody at home. He then asks a seer (The film is not set in the real place but the concept of the movie is based on an actual incident) to open the temple and he does it. In the temple, the Inspector sees a little kid who is running on the streets without a jacket. He asks the Inspector to take him to the police station, while Chidambaram is escaping. At the station, the officer also sees a woman, who he realises later that she is Maaradha, who has fallen in the clutches of Chidambaram. He returns her to her parents. He also wants to catch Chidambaram. Maaradha helps him a lot in his mission. Chidambaram's real aim is to collect money from rich people. On the other hand, inspector tries to find out Chidambaram's aim. He goes to the factories and finds the manager of the factories is a rich man. He sends Chidambaram to the factory as a worker.
